Behind the Microphone

Brent Anderson has been KNLR's Morning Guy  since 1995.  Brent graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in Chicago where he studied Broadcasting - and met his lovely wife, Darlene. Brent and Darlene have 3 children - Cooper, and twins Zachary and Ashley.  In addition to waking people up, Brent enjoys hiking, golf, racquetball and basketball. Brent's most memorable moment in radio was when he had the rare opportunity to interview Rich Mullins. His favorite verse is Romans 8:28. E-mail Brent.

Kyle Liedtke is the Music Director and afternoon music host.  He started at KNLR in 1995. He graduated with a degree in Theology in 1990 and enjoys studying theology, philosophy and literature. Kyle is also a musician and has recorded two CDs and is working on his third project featuring legendary guitarist Phil Keaggy. Kyle is the host of "Artist Insights" on KNLR and also produces special features for the station - including interviews with artists, authors and local organizations. Kyle can be heard Tuesday-Friday from 12:30-7pm, Saturday from 10:30am-6pm and Sunday from 6pm-midnight.  E-mail Kyle.

Andy Kahn is back handling nights on New Life 97!   "I love being able to play songs that offer a message of hope; songs that are encouraging."   When Andy is not on the air, he is busy raising three kids with his wife Lori.  Ashley is 17, Andrew is almost 7 and Aubrey is 19 months old.  Andy likes playing football with Andrew and camping here in the great Northwest.  He also likes to listen to distant AM radio stations, a hobby that his wife still finds odd!   Thanks for listening!!

Jeremy Cowan is an old pro - in fact he pretty much grew up on KNLR (he's the owner's son).  Jeremy graduated from Mt. View High School in 1992 and then from Northwest Nazarene College in 1996 with a degree in chemistry.  Since then Jeremy has traveled to Ecuador (where he was heard around the world on HCJB Shortwave Radio) and Mexico twice for missionary trips.  His "day-job" is working as a commercial appraiser for Bratton Appraisal Group.  One of Jeremy's favorite things to do is fly-fishing in the back-country of Idaho.  He is also a runner and successfully completed the Boise Great Potato Marathon.
